Triumph Inspiration Award

Today I participated in the Swedish jury for Triumph Inspiration Award at the office of A.W.B. For the 5th year Triumph is organizing the competition – TIA- where young, talented design students from 31 countries all compete in an international final in Shanghai. The Swedish winner will be announced on May 9th at NK in Stockholm.

The jury: two inspiring women, the designer Behnaz Ahram and Martina Bonnier, the editor-in- chief for Damernas Värld.

The collector

For a few years I have been a dedicated collector of Hermès scarves designed by my husband’s grandfather Xavier de Poret. I treasure my collection and wear the vintage scarves on the very special occasions. A few of them are framed and hang on the walls in our dining room. Guldknappen 2012

A few weeks ago, I spent the day at the office of Swedish fashion magazine Damernas Värld. I was one of the five jury members for the prestigious fashion award Guldknappen. It was both very interesting and exciting. The winner will be officially announced during the award ceremony on August 25th. Last year’s winner of was Dagmar, who has had an incredible year and showed in my opinion their strongest collection ever for a/w 12.

The jury: Pär Engsheden, Martina Bonnier (the editor-in-chief of Damernas Värld), Sara Winter, myself and Robert Nordberg.

Guess what, I’m back! No, I haven’t forget how to blog. It has just been a bit crazy lately. But also lots of fun things are happening. Check out an interview I did with the fabulous Elsa Billgren for ELLE (unfortunately in Swedish).

My skirt (by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac) and I had lots of fun together at the Swedish magazine Styleby’s 1 year anniversary. Check out Elin Kling’s blog for more picture, the hostess herself looked totally stunning.

I have been listening to Whitney Houston all day and I still can’t believe she is gone. Growing up she was my idol, one of the reasons to why I wanted to dedicate my life to singing. To me she will always remain The Voice and her music will live forever.

In episode two of Max Factor TV, I interview Swedish actress Noomi Rapace (who according to me, was the best dressed guest at fashion week), the beautiful Camilla Pihl who is the fashion blogger no. 1 in Norway, Swedish stylist Robert Rydberg, the designer Ann-Sofie Back, the always so lovely Emma Danielsson and my favourite sisters Sofi and Frida Fahrman. I also check the fashion status of the Swedish popstars Linda Sundblad, Tove Styrke, Agnes and September. And we try out the yellow carpet (!) of the opening of Burberry in Stockholm (I was lucky to wear a gorgeous white, Burberry Prosum coat). Last but not least, you get the best make-up tips from Max Factor’s own super make-up magician Tomas Lenneryd.

In December, The Max Factor TV team and I got on a plane to Malmö to shoot the documentary about Altewai. Saome and Max Factor Award. It was an intense and very inspiring day. I am so happy I got to see their creative studio and their impressive store.

The winner of Max Factor Award 2012 is Altewai.Saome. Max Factor TV visited the incredible designer duo behind the brand, Natalia Altewai and Randa Saome. I am not exaggerating when I say that I am their biggest fan. Everything about Altewai.Saome blows me away and it is not that often that I love a whole collection (and want every single piece for myself!).

Swedish magazine Damernas Värld asked what’s on my Christmas wishlist. See my answers below.

You already know I am dreaming of a pair of Molami earphones but my other wishes are:

The WHOLE s/s12 collection by Altewai.Saome (I know, I know, but you can always dream, right!?). Anything from Goyard (with personalisation of course). The newly released book Lady GaGa x Terry Richardson. Chocolate by Patrick Roger. And after tons of Christmas food I would like to receive at least 100 hours with the most efficient personal trainer there is, Pernilla Gunnskog at Metropolis Gym in Stockholm.

But the best Christmas gift ever would probably be this extremly fashionable tree my friend Pelayo received. Apparently some of the bags have presents too. Isn’t it the coolest thing ever? I just had to borrow the picture from his blog.

I have been using my earphones, Beats by Dr. Dre for a long time now. They are great in the studio or on a long flight, have a fantastic sound and are very comfortable. But you would never see me walking around with them in town. They are just too big. I have been looking for stylish earphones forever without finding the right ones until Molami was launched this fall. They are gorgeous, really well designed by Swedish designer Maria von Euler and their sound is very good. In other words they are the perfect earphones for me. The model Pleat in black is on top of my Christmas wish list.

There is a white version too.

I am so proud to be part of the Liberty Rocks collection, released by Liberty Art Fabrics this fall. It is one of the most interesting projects I’ve been involved in. All the incredibly talented designers and people working at Liberty Art Fabrics really gave me an experience I will never forget. Check out the film about the project.

Baby’s first cover

It was so much fun doing the cover shoot for Swedish magazine Mama with my baby daughter Electra.

It was slightly risky though to wear a precious McQueen dress carrying a 3 months old baby, totally naked. She ended up going to the toilet on it. 3 times!
